About Lillian

Hello! I’m Lillian Gonzalez, a 39-year-old native Spanish speaker from Puerto Rico with a passion for teaching. I hold a master’s degree and am excited to share my language and culture through online Spanish tutoring. Beyond teaching, I’m also a mom to a wonderful 6-year-old son who constantly inspires me to approach learning with patience, curiosity, and creativity.

With over a decade of experience, I focus on making Spanish accessible and enjoyable for all ages and levels. Whether you’re a high school or college student needing support, a professional looking to improve your Spanish, or simply someone eager to learn, I’ll guide you through a customized learning journey. I aim to make each lesson engaging and practical, emphasizing conversation skills, cultural insights, and real-life applications.

If you’re ready to dive into Spanish, I’d love to help you.

About the lesson

With a master’s degree and specialized expertise in teaching Spanish, I offer dynamic, engaging online tutoring sessions tailored to learners of all levels—from beginners to advanced students, including high school and university levels.

Teaching Method and Techniques

My approach focuses on creating a highly interactive and communicative environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves. Each session is designed to build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through real-life scenarios and practical applications. I emphasize immersion techniques, incorporating multimedia resources, conversational practice, and cultural insights to enhance language retention and understanding.

Typical Lesson Plan

A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previously covered material, followed by a structured introduction to new concepts. We focus on vocabulary, grammar, and contextual phrases, with plenty of practice through interactive exercises and conversation drills. Every lesson includes a mix of speaking, listening, and writing activities, and I assign optional practice exercises to reinforce learning between sessions. We wrap up with a summary of the day’s key points and a preview of what’s coming next.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor

What distinguishes my tutoring style is my personalized approach and commitment to making Spanish engaging and accessible. I adapt each lesson to the student’s goals and learning pace, ensuring an optimal balance between challenge and achievement. My focus on cultural context helps students understand the nuances of Spanish, providing a deeper connection to the language.

Who the Lessons Are For

My lessons are ideal for:

• High school and college students seeking extra support in Spanish courses
• Adult learners at beginner, intermediate, or advanced levels aiming to improve their fluency
• Professionals interested in acquiring Spanish language skills for career advancement
• Anyone passionate about learning Spanish.
