About Maya

I am currently studying business and law at the University of Waterloo and love to teach others. I have a passion to constantly learn while being both a lifelong student and teacher. My favorite thing to do is read outside and travel. I also own a small business that allows me to freely express my creativity and passion to help others.

About the lesson

I have been tutoring since I was 14 and love sharing my knowledge with others through learning activities, visual learning and oral communication. French is my second language and I have been fluent my whole life which helps me teach others how to better understand the language. I value engaging and stimulating material for my students that allows them to actively learn and remain interested in the material. Lesson plans are extremely important for me to offer my students a structured and thorough lesson while not overwhelming. I offer french tutoring from kindergarten - university and create a custom academic goal plan for each of my students.

Maya’s knowledge of the French language assured me that she would be an excellent tutor for our daughter who was struggling with the language. Maya met the challenge with utmost success. She is a driven and organized instructor who developed an inspiring relationship with our daughter.
She has great written and verbal French language abilities and her
communication skills with both students and parents are excellent.

She helped my nephew with Math and he's one of the brightest young kids at his school! She helps him so much through worksheets and he usually isn't good with tutors but she really was able to get through to him through her teaching style and caring nature. i also got the chance to talk to her and she's very sweet. I'd recommend Maya to any person's child
