Warm-up (5-10 minutes): Start the lesson with a dynamic warm-up to prepare the players' bodies for physical activity. This can include light jogging, side shuffles, high knees, arm circles, and dynamic stretches to increase flexibility and prevent injuries. 2. Fundamentals and Technique (15-20 minutes): Dedicate a significant portion of the lesson to teaching or refining fundamental tennis skills and techniques. Focus on areas such as forehand and backhand groundstrokes, volleys, serves, and overheads. Use demonstration and clear explanations, and encourage players to practise the correct techniques. 3. Drills and Skills Development (20-25 minutes): Divide this section into various drills that reinforce the skills taught earlier. These can include rallying exercises, footwork drills, target-based drills, and cooperative drills with a partner. Adjust the difficulty level based on the players' skill levels, challenging them but keeping it enjoyable. 4. Live Play (10-15 minutes): Allow the players to engage in live play, either in singles or doubles matches. This gives them a chance to apply the skills they learned in a real-game situation. Offer guidance and feedback during play to help them improve their decision-making and strategy. 5. Cool-down and Review (5 minutes): End the lesson with a brief cool-down session that includes light static stretching to help players relax and reduce muscle tension. Take a few minutes to review the key takeaways from the lesson and provide constructive feedback to each player. 6. Set Goals and Homework (5 minutes): Before the players leave, discuss their progress and set individual goals for the next lesson. Assign homework drills or exercises that they can practise on their own to reinforce the lesson's concepts.
