About Ansen

Hi! I’m a final-year Psychology student at the University of York. I’ve always been interested in understanding why people think, feel and behave the way they do, which is what led me to study Psychology at university.

I want to tutor Psychology because I know that some topics can be tricky to understand at first, especially when there is a lot of information to remember for exams. I enjoy breaking down complicated ideas into simpler explanations and helping others understand the reasoning behind them.

I’d like to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and working through difficult topics. My goal is not just to help students memorise Psychology, but to help them genuinely understand the subject and feel more confident when answering exam questions.

My lessons are designed to make Psychology easier to understand and help students feel more confident with their exams.

As a Psychology student at the University of York, I can provide one-to-one support with GCSE Psychology, including understanding difficult topics, revising key concepts, practising exam questions and improving exam technique.

I will adapt each lesson to the student’s needs and learning style. Rather than simply memorising information, I aim to help students understand the concepts and apply them to exam questions.

Lessons can include:

* Explaining difficult Psychology concepts in a simple way
* Reviewing and organising revision material
* Practising multiple-choice and exam questions
* Developing exam technique and structuring answers
* Identifying areas that need more revision

My aim is to create a relaxed environment where students can ask questions freely and work through topics at their own pace.
