About Ben

Hi, I’m Ben! I’m a professional pianist and instructor based in Dallas, Texas. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Piano Studies. I was also selected as 1st Chair Pianist in the Texas All-State Jazz Ensemble for two consecutive years (2018 and 2019).

I have over 8 years of professional performance experience, with more than 1,000 live performances. My musical background spans jazz, classical, pop, rock, worship, and musical theater.

In addition to performing, I teach private piano lessons to students of various ages and skill levels. I genuinely enjoy teaching and sharing my experience with others, helping students develop their musical abilities, build confidence, and discover their own passion for music.

I look forward to working with you!

My goal as a piano teacher is to help students develop their musical skills while building a genuine love for music. I offer personalized lessons tailored to each student’s experience level, interests, and goals.

Whether you’re a complete beginner learning the basics or an experienced pianist looking to take your playing to the next level, I can help you develop your technique, sight-reading, music theory, ear training, improvisation, and overall musicianship.

I teach a variety of styles, including classical, jazz, pop, worship, and more. I believe that becoming a well-rounded musician involves more than just reading sheet music. I also enjoy teaching students how to play by ear, understand harmony, and develop the skills to play music independently and creatively.

With a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Piano from the University of North Texas and extensive professional performance experience, I bring both formal musical training and real-world experience into my teaching. Whether you want to build a strong foundation in music theory and technique or develop practical skills for performing, improvising, and playing with other musicians, I can help you achieve your goals.

I genuinely enjoy teaching, from introducing beginners to the piano to helping experienced musicians take their playing to the next level.
