Hi! I’m David — a self-taught pianist and singer with 6 years of consistent practice under my belt. I never had formal lessons myself, which means I know exactly what it’s like to learn piano from scratch, figure out what works, and stay motivated without a teacher guiding every step. That experience is exactly what I bring to my students.
My lessons are built for beginners and intermediate players who want to actually enjoy playing — whether that’s pop songs, movie themes, or music you hear and want to learn yourself. I focus on:
• Technique — proper hand position, finger independence, and building good habits from day one
• Music theory made simple — chords, scales, and reading music, taught in a way that connects directly to what you’re playing (not abstract worksheets)
• Ear training — learning to hear and recognize what’s happening in the music
• Real repertoire — songs you’re excited to play, not just method-book exercises
A typical lesson includes a short warm-up, focused work on your current piece, a bit of theory tied to what you’re learning, and a clear practice plan to take home.
I’m a great fit for complete beginners, kids, and adults getting back into piano or picking it up for the first time. I’m not the right teacher if you’re prepping for a formal grading exam (RCM, ABRSM) or conservatory audition — but if you want to build real, lasting piano skills in a relaxed, encouraging environment, let’s talk!
