About Virginia Paige
I am a university grad with a Bachelor of Music (Piano), a Bachelor of Music Education, and am soon starting a Masters of Education program. I currently work as a school teacher (classroom and online), however am looking to branch out into the world of private lessons again. I love playing the piano and have been doing so for 45 years. One of the best experiences that I've had as a teacher is to get to know the interests of the student, and to dive into what it is that YOU want to learn! I'm also a "tecchie" and often integrate technology into my teaching. One of my most recent classroom activities with teens was to teach them how to compose music for video games! I'm the kind of person who thinks outside of the box and am extremely creative. On a final note, I identify as neurodivergent and have recently been diagnosed with ASD as an adult - and I'm the proud mom of an 8 year old who also dwells "on the spectrum".

Having taught my first lesson 35 years ago I have learned what works, which is to teach what it is that the student is interested in learning. Many teachers stick with a method book plan and progress weekly. While I can do that, I find it extremely beneficial to draw on the strengths and interests of each student in order to chart a course of success! I can teach everything from classical, playing by ear, composition, and even improv. These lessons would be perfect for beginners and even seasoned students of all ages. I have taught music to students ages 3 to 74 and enjoy every age!
