About Gunay

I’m Gunay, a student at York University studying Electrical Engineering with a strong background in math, physics, and chemistry. I earned recognition in the Chemistry Olympiad and have experience tutoring students at Willowdale High School as well as online. Teaching is something I’m truly passionate about — I take time to explain concepts clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and make sure my students feel confident. I enjoy helping students overcome challenges and succeed in their studies.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on understanding, not memorization. I guide students through problem-solving step by step, making sure they can apply concepts to both homework and exams. Whether it’s high school physics, math, or chemistry, I break down complex topics like mechanics, electricity, and quantum basics into simple explanations. Lessons are interactive, flexible, and designed around each student’s needs — whether they need extra support, exam prep, or want to push ahead. I offer in-person tutoring in North York/Toronto and online sessions for flexible learning.

I was one of the students of Willowdale High School that Gunay used to teach math to me. She is a perfect teacher and one of the things that make her better teacher is her ability in making simple complicated concepts in math and also chemistry.
