About Irene

I was a Phono-Graphix English tutor, Buddy Reader, and Reading therapist at Diepsloot Combined School, which is where I started to be an English tutor. I was working with barriers and intelligent learners. I love working with kids, helping them to improve in reading and writing.

About the lesson

I teach kids one-on-one how to write and read English words. I use sound, not the alphabet, because when I use sound, it's an easy way for them to understand how to read and write difficult words compared to using the alphabet. I group them in colors: pre-pink, pink, blue, green, purple, and yellow levels. This learning method is more fun and interesting.
