About Ryan
I’m an experienced digital marketing professional with deep expertise in data-driven performance marketing. I studied Applied Math at the University of California, Berkeley and then spent over 15 years working at Salesforce and Google, including several years as a subject matter expert advising many of Google’s largest enterprise customers on performance marketing best practices.
Now based in the Pacific Northwest and coming out of a recent data analytics course, also through UC Berkeley, I’m working to build up a consulting and education practice so I can continue to do the work that I’m passionate about from my own home office.
My approach is logical and analytical, focused on how to maximize ROI for businesses of all sizes. Through my in-depth understanding of the digital marketing landscape, from digital identifiers to first-party audience data and cross-channel measurement, I’m able to help simplify the most complex marketing challenges and deliver effective solutions that drive profitable growth.
Outside of work I’m a husband and a father of two wonderful girls. I enjoy camping, cooking, racquetball, golf, exploring Oregon’s natural beauty, and just spending quality time with my family and friends.

My lessons are entirely customized around the specific needs and objectives of my students and/or colleagues. I specialize in data-driven audience segmentation, for ad/campaign targeting and user experience personalization, and impact/ROI measurement via attribution modeling and incrementality/lift testing. These are complex and evolving topics and I find it important to tailor lessons to where my students/colleagues are starting from and the level of detail they're looking for.
I focus on helping with understanding the fundamental concepts and technologies that enable effective digital performance marketing. I can also help with defining strategies and processes for applying these concepts in real-world business situations. My lessons include multiple examples of real-world scenarios from my many years as a subject matter expert focused on these topics.
