About Aurora

I truly enjoy teaching and being able to pass on knowledge that could change someone's life for the better, even if only a little bit. I grew up learning English as a second language, so I understand both the struggles and the satisfaction that comes with learning to speak a new language and being understood. And finally, I am also a language geek so being able to share that passion with students equally as enthusiastic and committed, is the best part of teaching.

About the lesson

Welcome! I am a firm believer that learning a language is much easier and worthwhile if the focus is on speaking it, just like when we learn our first language (L1) as children. The majority of my hour-long lessons are made of a lot of speaking practice and quick grammar theory, that is bite-size and fun to learn. Every lesson will be tailored to you, your level and your needs. I welcome students from the age of 20 and above, at Beginner to Intermediate. As for my teaching qualifications, I have a TEFL Level 5 in English, as well as having experience as a mentor and teacher of English as a foreign language.

Aurora is a very patient teacher. Her passion to help her students and make sure they understand everything she teaches, comes through as soon as you meet her. I think this is because of her deep interest in the grammar of the language and making sure the student sounds as native as possible. Studing with her definitely allows you to become better at language learning.

Aurora has helped me a lot with my English. When I moved to the UK I had little to no knowledge of the language, but thanks to her advice and constant practice-led lessons, I learnt how to speak fluently; I was able to really immerse myself in the logic of the language. Haven’t looked back since.
