About Sapientias
I have specialised in econometrics with advanced courses like financial econometrics, time-series, risk and portfolio management. I have also taught basic and advanced econometrics at degree level. Popular topics that students need help with are OLS regression, regression diagnostics with tests for heteroskedasticity, multicollinearity, autocorrelation. Other topics include: dummy variables, instrumental variables, logit and probit models, and panel data. Advanced topics include time-series, autoregressive models, moving averages, ARIMA models, unit root, cointegration tests, tests for stationarity and ARCH and GARCH models.

I cover most of these topics fairly rigorously so students are able to handle them in an exam. Our preparation includes going over lecture slides and concepts and also practising past paper exams and re-doing the problem sets. I also have a large database of practice questions and past exams for students to take mock tests before their exams. Most students meet me online because I am productive working from my office where I can go back to doing my research without having to commute.

After getting two very low grades in my economics modules last year, I worked with Sapientias for my Macroeconomic Principles (EC210) module this year to prepare my exam. He supported me throughout the year with weekly meetings to explain to me the content of the lectures. Every time he would provide me with very good examples to explain the difficult concepts and always made sure I understood everything he was explaining to me. Afterwards, I always managed to do the problem sets by myself and when I had doubts we went over it together. I achieved a 67 in both of my exams, overall of 20-25 points higher than what I had achieved last year in my economics modules. I am very happy with my results and would highly recommend him for students struggling with economics.

Details
Tariffs are fixed at 75/hr for basic courses and rates increase for more advanced courses. Trial hour is free only for students who are looking to book a minimum of ten hours. Unfortunately I get a lot of requests for 1-2 hours and so with 1 hour free, this ends up being not feasible for me. Help with writing papers and or doing certain exam questions is charged according to the time it takes to prepare a lesson.
