About Timothy
I'm a 16-year-old pianist who has been playing piano for over a decade and for as long as I can remember. When I was younger I remember a point where I used to dread piano lessons as I used to find them dull and boring till the point where I was unmotivated to practise and I nearly quit. This was until I found a new teacher who made the lessons enjoyable and funny, yet I was still able to power through my grades. He is the person that inspired me to get into teaching. Now I am nearly a grade 8 pianist. I also scored 100% on both my solo and ensemble performances for my GCSE music course which is very rare. I also have experience with the keyboard playing the role of 'Lawrence' in my town's theatre's performance of 'School of Rock' where I had to act and also play rock songs on the keyboard live. I also play a bit of electric guitar for fun. I also play a lot of football in my free time.

I aim to make my lessons most of all fun and engaging because there is no point of playing the piano if you cannot enjoy it. I can adapt my lessons to pupils' targets within the instruments, whether it be for them to do their grades, learn their favourite songs, learn their music theory or even improvisation. I also like to use games to help students gain a better understanding of how to play this instrument. I also offer the first 2 lessons free.
