About Maria

As a concert pianist with a Master’s from Manhattan School of Music, I bring passion and expertise to teaching students of all ages. With experience teaching in colleges and K–12 schools, I offer engaging, personalized lessons—online or in-person—that help every student grow with confidence and joy.

About the lesson

I hold a Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music and have performed extensively across the U.S. and internationally. With a background in both Eastern European and American musical training, I offer a well-rounded and effective approach to learning.

My teaching experience spans all ages and skill levels—from complete beginners to university music majors. Whether you’re learning for the first time or preparing for auditions, lessons are tailored to your needs, with a strong focus on proper technique, musical expression, and efficient, injury-free playing.

In addition to piano, I also offer instruction in music theory, ear training, and sight-singing. Lessons are available both online and onsite in NYC, providing flexibility without compromising quality.

Named a Top Teacher by Steinway & Sons in 2023, I combine high-level training with a supportive, engaging teaching style. These are more than just lessons—they’re a pathway to real musical growth with expert mentorship.

Maria was a great teacher for my niece Rachel. She made amazing progress in her abilities. Maria had not only helped develop proper technique, but also shared her passion about music and piano. She is patient and cheerful and lessons are always fun and Rachel always enjoys them. Thank you.
