About Charmaine
I am a fully qualified piano teacher from Malta with more than 30 years of teaching experience. Since moving to the UK in 2018, I have continued teaching privately and in secondary schools with Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust (NMPAT).
I hold the LRSM Teaching Degree and an updated DBS certificate.
Teaching piano is my passion, and I enjoy helping students of all ages and abilities grow in confidence, musicality and technique. I believe every student is unique and deserves lessons that are supportive, motivating and enjoyable.
Throughout my career, I have prepared students successfully for ABRSM graded and diploma exams, competitions, concerts and performances. Many of my former students are now music teachers themselves.
I am a calm, patient and dedicated teacher who truly cares about each student’s progress and musical journey.

I am a fully qualified piano teacher with more than 30 years of teaching experience, teaching children, teenagers and adults of all levels — from complete beginners to diploma level.
I specialise in ABRSM piano exams, music theory, sight reading, aural training, finger technique and musical interpretation. My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, helping them progress with confidence while enjoying music learning in a relaxed and encouraging environment.
I am a calm, patient and supportive teacher who believes that motivation and enjoyment are essential for musical development. I use a variety of teaching techniques and creative approaches to keep lessons engaging and inspiring for students of all ages.
Many of my students have achieved excellent exam results, distinctions and competition successes. I also encourage students to develop confidence through performances, concerts and musical exploration.
Whether you are learning for enjoyment, preparing for exams, or aiming for advanced studies, I will help you achieve your musical goals step by step.
30-minute lessons are £25 per session, payable monthly in advance. Longer lessons may also be arranged depending on the student’s level and goals.
