About Karen
Bonjour, I’m [Your Name], and I’m so excited to be your French tutor online.
I have a Master’s degree in French from Goa University, and for the past 10 years I’ve taught French to students in primary and middle school. I’ve worked with kids who were starting from zero, kids preparing for exams, and kids who just wanted to speak better in class.
Why do I want to teach?
Because I’ve seen what happens when French stops feeling like a subject and starts feeling like a skill you can use. The moment a student understands a sentence, or says their first full sentence out loud, their whole face lights up.
I want to create that moment for you.
My classes are patient, interactive, and built around you. We’ll mix grammar, speaking, games, and real-life examples so you don’t just memorize - you actually understand and use French. Mistakes are welcome here. That’s how we learn.

Why learning French with me feels different online
Forget boring Zoom lectures and textbook drills. My online classes are built for one thing: making French stick without making you hate it.
Here’s my approach:
1. No “one-size-fits-all” lessons
I don’t teach the same way to a 9-year-old and a 13-year-old. After 10 years in primary and middle school classrooms, I know exactly how to adjust pace, games, and examples so it clicks for you. If you’re shy, we start with listening and games. If you’re bold, we jump into speaking from day 1.
2. One hour of “real French” every class
Grammar matters, but you won’t just conjugate verbs in silence. Every session has a moment where you use French for something real - ordering food, describing your day, making a joke. That’s how confidence happens.
3. I make mistakes okay
Kids in my classes know this: wrong answers are just data. We fix it, laugh about it, and move on. Online, you’ll never feel judged for pausing or mixing up le and la. We’re here to learn, not perform.
4. Visual, interactive, and actually engaging
I use stories, drawings, quick quizzes, and mini-games on the screen so you’re doing, not just watching. No 60 minutes of me talking at you.
The result?
Students who used to say “French is hard” start raising their hand in class. Parents tell me their kids are now using French words at home without being asked.
