About Ariana
Hello! My name is Ariana! I am a grade 11 International Baccalaureate student who has been studying French for 8 years and teaching for 3 years! In 2023, I won the regional French competition in TDSB and placed 1st and also won second at the Ontario Concours d'Art Oratoire Provincial French Competition.
In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano and reading books! I also enjoy teaching others and am very excited to meet my students!

I primarily teach children ages 8-16 and enjoy teaching in fun and interactive ways. I typically have 1 hour lessons and spend 15 minutes of which doing speech exercises to encourage fluency in French, 20 minutes practicing watching short French clips and writing summaries and the rest working on conjugations and finding real-life examples of them in literature.
I believe the best way to teach someone is through enthusiasm and patience which is what I try to pass on to my students. I also enjoy speaking mostly in French to my students so they get used to the sound of the language. As someone who has won regional and provincial competitions in French, I understand the importance of this.
