About Hugues
I began working as a professor and tutor when I was studying. I was in political sciences and gave “general culture” lessons for students to get accepted into high-end schools called “Sciences Po”. I taught philosophy, sociology and news analytics and summarization. I then gave French lessons in the US. Now I am working with US universities and the US National Science Foundation to develop a new methodology for students to learn tech by practicing around true scientific projects: they help professors and advance science as they get promoted.

I taught French for years, and lived in the US (NYC) for 13 years. I mix this experience with a thorough business acumen: corporate strategy in SaaS, multiple startups launched. In my current startup, I work with the best US researchers and the National Science Foundation to reinvent how we let people upskill in tech. Now, I reapply the methodology for languages. Let me share a passion for all things cultural: art, music, writing, photography, food, travel, and more!

Excellent! Excellent tutor. Hugues was very interested in learning about my level of French, my goals, and my timeline -- and he understands where my strengths and weaknesses lie, so he is able to tailor my lesson to benefit me, specifically; that's really important to me. I also appreciate that he challenges me to converse, while being kind and encouraging, and making me feel not quite as disastrous as i obviously am at speaking and understanding French.
Perfect! Methodology and flexibility.
Perfect! Hugues is an engaged and interactive in-person French tutor. Getting set up is quick; he is very responsive. I also appreciate the personalized approach and tailoring subjects to my interests. So far so good, although I am just beginning my French journey.
Perfect! Hugo is an amazing tutor! He is very knowledgeable and I like that he makes tailored lessons for my current needs. I was at the level zero when I took classes with him few months ago, now I see the progress! I would recommend Hugo to anyone who is interested in learning French!

Hugues is a great French teacher and was able to help me elevate my language skills very quickly. Highly recommended!
Hugues was very nice. He listened well to the goals I wanted to accomplish learning French and came up with a fun project to help me learn. Hugues is very organized and made learning fun!
Hugo and I met last year and have since become great colleagues, working together to manage partner education programs. Hugo’s approach is both flexible and focused, and he combines excellent listening skills with a warm, inclusive style. These qualities make him an outstanding tutor, whether you’re just beginning or looking to elevate your French skills.
