About Chenise
Hello! My name is Chenise, I’ve been a French Studies PhD candidate for over 6 years in New Orleans. I’ve been teaching French for over 8 years, certified by L'Institut Français. I also speak Moroccan Arabic and Portuguese.
I've taught in different countries and have lived in France, Morocco and Senegal. I have experience working with children under 18, with college students and over the past three years, I have also taught more than 200 adults through community courses organized in Louisiana. Teaching is my greatest passion! I love creating a fun atmosphere in the classroom, showing you how practical and useful French can be, and acting out words to help students remember new vocabulary. I encourage students to make mistakes and to share their interests in class. I am patient, I always give students feedback, and I want to help students overcome their fears when speaking.
