About Simone
I am a native speaker of Italian and a qualified teacher and interpreter for English, German and Spanish. I have fun teaching and I strive to make each lesson engaging and enjoyable.
When I created My Language School, I decided to include all the elements that I believe create an informal, fun and effective environment for students to learn and create new friendships.
Modern audio-visual technology as well as more traditional paper-based activities are used in class.
Seating has been planned to encourage collaboration and group discussion.
Quality tea and coffee facilities and a comfortable lounge area facilitate relaxed and natural interaction.
Located in Coburg North, Melbourne. Free on-street parking and close to public transport links.

Communication is king
All classes are based on the communicative approach where communication is king. Speaking and listening skills are practiced throughout all classes, and grammar is dealt within practical context. I believe that pronunciation, tone and rhythm are key to increase confidence and tune into the language.
Small groups for better learning
I always ensure that our students feel comfortable and relaxed in class. Groups are small – 5 to 10 maximum – and this allows each person to get individual attention.
Talk talk talk talk talk…
I believe that only by using the target language from day one can students immerse themselves and improve. As part of this approach, peer learning is encouraged. This leaves space to develop fluency and allows students to understand the importance of accepting mistakes as a normal part of the learning process.
