About Eli
As a graduate from the Thompson Jazz Studies program in Boulder, CO and a gigging pianist and composer, I bring significant academic and professional experience in music to the table. In the academic world, I learned music theory and advanced techniques. On the bandstand, I learned to react quickly to musical situations, requiring an in-depth practical knowledge of the piano in order to draw upon skills in real-time. These extremes of musical experience cause me to constantly think about the most effective ways to conceptualize and learn music in my own development as well as that of my private students.
Finally, I am acutely aware of the impact of life outside of music on one’s own personal expression. As an avid traveler and multi-passionate human, life impacts both my performance and composition. I bring this awareness to our lessons in order to not simply master raw techniques, but to harness your own authenticity and creativity into your playing and composition.

The most important part of lessons with me is you and your personal goals and learning style. I spend significant time becoming clear on what it is that you specifically want to focus on, and the ways in which you learn effectively. I combine practical exercises and technical practice with creative experimentation. I think that the intersection of these approaches is critical to developing musical skill and understanding, in addition to a distinct and authentic creative voice.

Lessons are paid per week.
1 hour - $140 | 45 min - $115 | 30 min - $90
Monthly
Lessons are paid for upfront at the beginning of each month and receive a discounted rate.
1 Hour Lessons: $480/month ($120 per lesson)
45 Minute Lessons: $380/month ($95 per lesson)
30 Minute Lessons: $280/month ($70 per lesson)
