About Augustine

Students who seek a structured approach to playing will find my methods refreshing. You want to bridge the gap between playing pop music and understanding classical theory. I built my technique through constant listening and trial, since nobody in my family taught music.

My Guildhall School of Music and Drama degree ensures I handle every detail correctly. I teach 6.0 distinct concepts including hand independence, jazz improvisation, and complex chord voicing.

My approach covers everything from posture and hand position to memorisation techniques. I trust that the habit of practice will outlast the lessons themselves. I am ready to go off plan if a tangent helps you more. Confidence is my primary output.

Stiff wrists and poor hand position create tension that kills your musical flow. Imagine your fingers gliding effortlessly across the keys with perfect posture and technical clarity.

My Guildhall School of Music and Drama training informs how I break down difficult scales and arpeggios. I have taught for 6 years now, refining how I explain music theory to beginners and advanced students alike.

I prioritise teaching contemporary styles alongside rigorous classical repertoire to keep your interest high. You select the songs you enjoy most, and I provide custom sheet music arrangements for those specific pieces.

We will work on rhythm, dynamics, and articulation until the notes finally move. I make sure the mechanics serve the musicality at every step of the way. You get clear instructions that make sense. It just happens.
