About Zaki
Hi, I'm Zaki, a final-year Economics and Finance student at the University of Southampton. My strong academic foundation stems from achieving top marks in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Economics at GCSE, which paved the way for my current university studies. Beyond my degree, I am a highly technical individual who programmes in Python, SQL, and VBA, and I even build computers for fun. I bring a highly disciplined, analytical, and professional mindset to my tutoring, a trait I have developed through competing in chess tournaments my entire life. When I am not studying or teaching, I am an active sportsman, representing my university in both American football and squash. I also speak Chinese, adding a unique cross-cultural perspective to my communication.
I specialise in supporting GCSE students across Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, and Economics. I also provide advanced, target-driven tuition for A-Level students in Mathematics and Economics. I structure my lessons using a proven, balanced methodology. We split our time between core theory, tackling real exam questions, and refining specific exam techniques. I keep concepts engaging by applying them to real-world examples, ensuring students understand the practical utility behind what they learn. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes.
