About Heather
Talking about myself is one of the hardest things.. I initially did my yoga teacher training with the idea of deepening my own practice and getting a road map to find places of more in-depth study. It quickly became apparent that what I learned in my courses could be applied to my passion for helping people and animals. And that these positive interactions can help with physical and mental health. I currently volunteer at my local Y as a yoga teacher. I love that I can help people, who would not normally have access to this amazing discipline, be able to experience it. On a personal level, so that you can start getting to know me, I have a passion for animals of all types. I do not believe I have too many pets, although I have been told otherwise. My cardio of choice is swimming. I watch way more YouTube than I should.

I could go about my qualifications and experience, however if you are here you are looking for something beyond the typical textbook material. I do everything possible to safely personalize every class to meet your goals. Whether it be learning meditation and breathing techniques (pranayama), finally landing that elusive pose that you have been struggling with, or if you just want a sequence class tailored to you, I have you covered. All are welcome, I currently teach introduction, beginner and intermediate classes for Hatha and Vinyasa, as well as all levels for Yin. I am also an IAOTH certified mat Pilates instructor, so we can add that as well if you are interested.

I also offer 3 pack sessions for absolute beginners for the basics of Yoga. We will cover breathing, body alignment and the first initial skills. These sessions are 1 hour each. One 3 pack per student's Please inquire for details.
