About Sofia
Teaching guitar to complete beginners has brought me pure, absolute joy for 6 years! I still remember my very first guitar lesson - I was so nervous and convinced I'd never be able to do it! Now I help other anxious beginners discover that guitar is actually totally learnable and incredibly fun when someone takes the time to explain things clearly and celebrates every single improvement. My students are always amazed by how quickly they progress when they have a patient teacher who believes in them!

I specialize in working with people who have never touched a guitar before, and I make it totally, completely achievable. We start super simple: comfortable ways to hold your guitar, easy finger positions, and how to make your very first chord that actually sounds good! Within just a few lessons, you'll be playing real songs that you recognize and can sing along to! I keep everything fun, zero pressure, and moving at whatever speed feels right for YOU. Want to strum songs around a campfire someday? Play for your family? Or just enjoy making music by yourself? I'll absolutely get you there step by step!
