About Lara
My name is Lara and I am a violin student in the last year of my bachelor's at the Cremona Conservatory :) For some years now I have been called to play in various orchestras active throughout Italy, as well as in chamber and solo ensembles. I have experience in teaching, I have taught children and adults - from beginners to intermediate levels - and I have helped a lot of students to pass the entrance exam at the conservatory. The most important part in my job is to convey the passion for music: it's not just about learning the right notes or rhythm, but about getting what studying and being dedicated mean - while having fun. With children who have their first approach to the instrument, especially if very young (0-6 years) I try to combine music with games. Only in this way is it possible to capture their attention, and to make them intrigued and enticed to learn even more. I start from the posture, and continue teaching pizzicato, the bow comes after having given the basics of solfeggio. With adolescents and adults the teaching changes, I am flexible and I adapt according to the level and difficulties of each one. I tend to divide the lessons into several parts: one dedicated to solfeggio (beginners), one to ear training (admissions to the conservatory), and the rest to technique and repertoire.
