About Helen
I am a book author and journalist of British origins. Since then I have lived and worked in South America and Asia, where I have been involved in the fields of wildlife tourism, hospitality, and education. My works have appeared in printed and online formats, and my new book on aquarium science is forthcoming.
Personally I enjoy not only writing and wildlife, but also the history of zoos and public aquaria, geography, philosophy, anthropology, social history, pizza making, boating, and curious Fortean phenomena.

My focus is on inspiring a naturalistic and subtle use of English, avoiding the artificial, formalised feel, that is often imposed by standardised learning methods in formal classroom settings.
