About Retha
"Developing your performance confidence requires a methodical approach that addresses the intricacies of the human voice. Having spent 13 years balancing studio work with stage appearances, I offer specialised guidance in vocal health and care to keep your instrument in peak condition. My training from the Royal Academy of Music informs how I approach head and chest voice transitions, breathing control, and tone and resonance.
You will find that these technical foundations serve as the bedrock for effective sight singing and nuanced microphone technique. Managing stage fear is a critical component of my work, ensuring you remain composed under pressure. It is my priority to ensure you feel secure in your technical command and ready for any spotlight."

"Progress should be audible from the very first minute of our interaction. Many students assume that vocal improvement is a slow and mysterious process, yet clear results come from applying rigorous, detail-oriented drills to your daily practice.
We will move through specific sequences that target your unique range, focusing on the mechanical aspects of sound production. These sessions prioritise the practical application of theoretical concepts so that your growth remains tangible throughout our time together.
You can expect to receive homework vocal drills assigned after every session to reinforce these specific techniques. Maintaining a 7.0 standard of excellence drives the pace of our work. Please let me know your availability if you are ready to begin this work together."
