About Adam
Hi, I’m Adam! I’m a final-year Physics student at the University of York, specialising in quantum, nuclear, particle, and astrophysics. I love helping students gain confidence, understand tricky concepts, and achieve their full potential in Maths and Physics. I take a structured, patient, and practical approach to tutoring, using interactive problem-solving, theory review, and exam-focused techniques. Being currently immersed in university-level Physics means I can explain complex topics in a clear, approachable way, and offer methods that have worked for me in my own studies. My aim is to make lessons engaging, productive, and confidence-building, so every student leaves feeling capable and motivated to tackle any challenge.

I offer 1–2 hour online lessons via Zoom or any platform of your choice, with flexible scheduling to fit around your commitments. To help you get started, I offer the first lesson for free so we can assess your needs and plan the most effective approach. My teaching focuses on exam preparation and problem-solving, combining step-by-step worked examples, problem sets, and theory review to ensure a deep understanding of concepts. I teach Maths and Physics at GCSE and A-Level (any specification), tailoring lessons to your level and needs. Using my iPad, I annotate problems and work through exercises interactively, so lessons feel engaging and hands-on, even online. As a final-year Physics BSc student at the University of York, specialising in quantum, nuclear, particle, and astrophysics, I bring advanced knowledge and a structured approach to make challenging topics approachable and clear. My goal is to build confidence, problem-solving skills, and exam readiness in every student.
