About Casey
I’ve been teaching yoga and meditation for 12 years. Primary styles I teach are: mindfulness meditation, Yoga Nidra meditation, Vinyasa, power yoga, yin yoga, and alignment based yoga. I focus most of my teachings on self-compassion(and compassion towards others) as well as finding our own spark in life and embracing it- Without apology. I’ve completed 700+ hours of training/certifications in Vinyasa yoga, yin yoga, alignment based yoga, trauma sensitive training and Yoga Nidra (combined). I have had a lot of experience working one on one with individuals with limited mobility, as well as clients who are recovering from addiction/ trauma/ experiencing symptoms of PTSD. Trauma and addiction brought me to yoga, and the practice has transformed my life- mind, body and spirit. I have been drawn to helping people find their own power, peace and perseverance ever since. In the midst of a sweaty flow, or hanging in a hip opener for what feels like forever, we can begin to heal. To shift out of automation into connection. A connection to our inherent force. The will to burst open at the seams and BE JUST WHO WE ARE.

My classes are playful & inspiring yet soothing. I encourage my students to explore movement throughout a yoga sequence with a sense of curiosity. I use a lot of imagery in class as I find it helps us wrap our heads around concepts that can be elusive to our understanding. I tend to bring up real life situations in which we can incorporate what we’re practicing. I find this helps in bringing the practice into our own reality, or day to day life. I talk a lot about physical alignment and the correlation to our energetic and systematic health, as well as inspiring my students to connect to their own inherent wisdom. Listening to the needs of our body-mind is a skill that takes regular practice to develop. When working one on one with students we’ll take some time to look at your goals. Why are you practicing yoga or meditation? What are you looking to shift in your life? What are your interests? This way we can come up with a practice plan specifically designed to meet your needs & achieve those goals. Whether you’re looking to slim down and build muscle, need to stretch or are looking for a way to manage stress, there’s a very holistic way through the practice. I help you find that way in a way that works for who you are.
