About Roland
I have 37 years of experience working in Tech in the UK, US & Canada. A recent layoff from Amazon gave me the gift of being able to follow my passion for teaching. I have 9 years of part time teaching experience, and am currently full time at San Jose State University getting my California teaching credential and a Masters in Science Education.

Focus is on keeping math practical (hence my focus on Physics & Stats). Math is an excellent modeling tool, and is great for proofs, but is a lousy teaching tool. Problems are explained and explored before bringing in the math so the context and the concepts are fully understood before the math to solve the problem is introduced.
