Training as a violinist at Schulich defined my early years, and those patterns remain embedded in my hands today. I hold an ARCT diploma in violin, piano, and voice, which informs how I approach the instrument.
13 years of teaching have taught me that technical clarity is a discipline rather than a gift. I regularly assist working professionals and intermediate learners who need that extra push to refine their craft.
My curriculum relies on custom scale and etude sheets for each student to ensure we address specific gaps in their playing. This RCM syllabus fluent approach allows me to bridge the distance between standard notation and expressive performance.
Precision is the foundation of my method. I find genuine satisfaction when a student finally captures the nuance of a difficult passage. It is the clarity of sound that makes the effort worth it.
