About Hariprem
I am a Biotechnology graduate with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree, who has been tutoring for the past 11 years. Teaching and learning with students is my passion, and I strive to create an environment that fosters collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. I believe in making learning fun and engaging, and take pride in my ability to simplify complex concepts in a way that is easy for students to understand. My tutoring approach is tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, and I am committed to providing individualized attention and support to help my students achieve their academic goals. Over the years, I have developed a natural ability to connect with students, building strong relationships and earning their trust and respect. As an experienced tutor with an 11-year track record of teaching Chemistry, Biology, and Additional Maths for Form 4 and Form 5, my teaching technique emphasizes the use of visual aids such as diagrams, charts, and videos to help students grasp complex concepts more easily. With a BSc(Hons) Biotechnology degree and specialized training in teaching methodologies, I have developed a teaching style that caters to individual student needs. Each lesson lasts one hour, and I start with a 15-minute refresh memory session that reviews previously covered topics, ensuring students understand the concepts before moving to new ones. This approach reinforces material and enhances retention. For each student, I tailor my teaching to suit their learning style, working closely with them to identify areas where they need additional support, and developing personalized plans accordingly. For example, I may use visual aids such as graphs or charts to clarify algebraic concepts or use 3D models or animations to help illustrate the structure of a cell in Biology. My teaching technique has been effective in helping students understand complex concepts, increasing their retention of material, and achieving their academic goals.
