About Antonio
Learning piano shouldn’t feel like a chore — especially when it’s the key to creating something you imagined. I’m Antonio, a multimedia creative and music producer known under the alias Anton The Scantron. I help beginners turn their keyboard into a powerful creative tool — whether they’re making beats, writing melodies, or just exploring music for the first time. I studied piano formally for three years, but where I really found my rhythm was in the world of digital music. Over the past eight years, I’ve taught myself how to play, record, and perform using a MIDI keyboard across multiple DAWs — blending tactile piano technique with modern production skills. My approach is: • Tactile – learning with your hands, not just your head • Creative – encouraging exploration, not just repetition • Practical – focusing on real results, not just theory Whether you’re looping your first chords or layering melodies over a beat, I’ll guide you every step — from the keys to the screen. Lessons are personalized around your style and goals. You don’t need to know theory or read sheet music — just bring your curiosity, and I’ll meet you there. You’ll walk away from each session not just knowing more, but having made something you’re proud of. Let’s unlock what your hands (and your ears) are capable of — and make sure your DAW is ready to keep up.

My Teaching Method & Techniques
I build every lesson around the student — not the other way around. Whether you’re brand-new to piano or just want to use your MIDI keyboard without fumbling through random notes, I meet you where you’re at and guide you from feel to fluency.
At the core of my approach is tactile learning:
Hands on the keys. Ears tuned to the sound. Eyes focused on the DAW.
You’ll be playing, adjusting, and creating — not just memorizing.
• Touch-based learning forms muscle memory naturally
• We focus on what you feel under your fingers, not just what you see on screen
• Repetition with variation locks in skills without burnout
• Every concept is taught through doing, not just explaining

A Typical Lesson Plan
Beginner – MIDI Piano for DAW Use
Length: 45–60 minutes
Format: 3-part session
1. Warm-Up & Recap (10–15 min)
• Finger placement drills to activate touch-awareness
• Quick jam using last week’s chords or melody
• A short call-and-response game to sharpen rhythm
2. Skill Builder (20–30 min)
• New chord, scale, or technique (introduced by feel first)
• Practice with looping rhythms or simple backing beats
• Tactile-focused tips: how to press, slide, and shift efficiently
3. DAW Integration (15–20 min)
• Plug in your MIDI controller
• Record and replay your session
• Experiment with tone, velocity, and virtual instruments
By the end of every lesson, you’ve got something real: a sound, a loop, a piece of music you built with your own hands.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
• I center tactile experience — students learn with their fingers first, theory second
• Lessons revolve around your pace, style, and creative goals
• I blend music and tech seamlessly — no guesswork between the keyboard and the DAW
• You leave every session with something usable — a chord progression, a MIDI loop, a beat foundation
⸻
Who These Lessons Are For
• Beginners and lower-intermediate musicians
• Students age 13+ with a passion for creating music
• Creatives using GarageBand, Logic, FL Studio, Ableton, or similar
• Anyone who owns a MIDI keyboard and wants to actually play it
• Songwriters, producers, beatmakers — no theory background required
This is for creators who want their hands to speak their sound.
