About Desirae
"Piano teaching allows me to share the music theory and jazz improvisation skills that I acquired at the Boston Conservatory. I admit that I started teaching piano simply to accompany my voice students, but the process became a genuine passion.
Hand independence, scales, and arpeggios provide the foundation for everything we explore together. My 13 years of experience has helped me refine a calm approach that respects the way neurodivergent minds process complex information. Pop and contemporary styles are my specialty, though I also love teaching ear training and sight reading. Watching a student master difficult pedaling technique after weeks of effort remains my favorite part of the job."
