About Mickey
Studying at the Curtis Institute of Music taught me that fluency requires more than just grammar. I emphasize cultural context, pronunciation, and vocabulary building to ensure you speak naturally.
Many of the 233 students I have guided appreciate my focus on interview preparation and Latin American versus Castilian variants. We engage in role play and dialogue practice to sharpen your skills. Focus is key. My goal is to see you communicating with total confidence in your target language.

Sometimes the hardest part of learning a new language is overcoming the fear of sounding incorrect when you speak, so I prioritize building comfort through structured conversation. My MMus Vocal Studies background allows me to pinpoint subtle errors in your rhythm and tone that others might overlook while we drill specific vocabulary or complex sentence structures. I provide a homework module with feedback after every class to ensure you maintain steady momentum throughout the week. Because I value your time, we utilize these modules to keep our live interactions dynamic and highly efficient for your needs.
This process bridges the gap between basic memorization and genuine conversational fluency. You will see marked improvement in your ability to express complex thoughts clearly and accurately. I truly enjoy watching my students find their unique voice in Spanish.
