About Lysa
I am a passionate violin tutor with 12 years of teaching experience and a Master’s Degree in Music. Throughout my career, I have guided students from diverse backgrounds, helping them strengthen their technique, develop expressive playing, and achieve their musical ambitions through patient instruction and individualized lesson planning that supports consistent improvement.
My teaching philosophy emphasizes precision, creativity, and enjoyment in equal measure. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my methods to suit individual strengths, challenges, and aspirations. By creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere, I help learners build confidence, maintain motivation, and develop lasting musical skills that extend well beyond the classroom.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy performing classical and contemporary violin repertoire, attending concerts, composing original melodies, and exploring different musical traditions from around the world. These experiences continually inspire my teaching, allowing me to bring fresh ideas, practical performance insights, and creative techniques into every lesson for an engaging and rewarding learning experience.

I offer engaging and personalized violin lessons for students of all ages and skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced performers. Every lesson is carefully designed to match your musical goals, learning style, and current ability while building a strong technical foundation and a genuine appreciation for music. My supportive teaching approach encourages steady progress and confidence in every session.
During our lessons, we focus on essential violin techniques including posture, bow control, intonation, finger placement, tone production, rhythm, sight-reading, scales, music theory, and expressive performance. Students also explore a wide variety of musical styles, helping them become versatile musicians while developing creativity, discipline, and stage confidence through structured practice and constructive feedback.
Whether you are preparing for music examinations, orchestra auditions, competitions, live performances, or simply learning for personal enjoyment, I provide step-by-step guidance in a motivating and encouraging environment. Each lesson combines technical improvement with musical expression, ensuring students gain both the skills and confidence needed to enjoy lifelong success with the violin.
