About Jason
Regulars at open stages kept asking how I managed my acoustic sets and that curiosity started my teaching career. You might be a complete beginner or a seasoned player looking for structure. I hold a BFA in Music Industry from Belmont University and have spent 13 years touring the South. It is common for me to work with teens and kids who want to handle barre chords or power chords.
Improvisation and ear training are areas where I spend quite a bit of time. Reading tabs and learning specific strumming patterns is essential for your growth. My approach remains grounded in the realities of gigging.
Music theory becomes clear when you see how it applies to songs. I want to help you reach your goals without the fluff.

Real world skills define the time we spend together because music is meant for performance. Imagine yourself finishing an original song in your home studio and knowing exactly how to track the rhythm guitar. My training from Belmont University informs how I teach acoustic technique and complex grade exam prep.
