About Joann
I am a former fitness trainer who decided to continue teaching but kids. I have taught elementary education levels prek to 6th grade for the past 14 years. I worked at the top NYC public school with children on all learning levels. I have experience with students with learning disabilities including but not limited to ADHD and dyslexia. I am available as a health and wellness coach and an academic tutor in all subjects and in ENL ( English as a New Language).

I base my classes on what interests my students. I feel that you can learn through any topic, and especially for younger students they can relate and make valuable connections to something they like and are familiar with. They are also more motivated to learn in something that interests them.
