About Amy
Fluency in French requires mastering the subtle connections between words that define the rhythm of the language. My teaching approach focuses heavily on listening practice and building a sophisticated vocabulary bank that feels natural rather than forced. I provide free access to my vocabulary and grammar notes so you can review concepts outside of our scheduled time.
Because I completed an MA Translation Studies, I approach French grammar with a focus on how meaning shifts across different structures. You will gain a much clearer understanding of how to use these patterns in your daily business or hobby conversations.

The faint sound of a perfect French nasal vowel feels like a precise mathematical equation hitting the air. I earned my MA Translation Studies at Kent State University to understand exactly how these sounds function across different contexts. Teaching 124 students has shown me that hobbyists often struggle most with the transition from silent reading to spoken fluency. My formal training at the Sorbonne and in Salamanca shaped my view that language is a tool for professional and personal growth.
I enjoy guiding working professionals and kids as they navigate complex grammar. I look forward to seeing where these new language skills take you.
