Scoring a 520 plus on the MCAT changed the way I look at chemistry. It is funny because I initially struggled to apply my deep knowledge of resonance and acidity under the pressure of a ticking clock.
After earning my MD from UC San Francisco School of Medicine, I decided to pivot into full time tutoring to help others bridge that exact gap. I work specifically with college chemistry majors and university students retaking orgo who feel stuck in their progress. My approach emphasizes radical reactions and complex mechanism drawing because those are where most students lose points.
Mastering retrosynthesis or functional groups requires a methodical mindset rather than just memorization. I have guided 98 students through this exact process over my 4 years of experience. We focus heavily on NMR spectroscopy and isomerism to ensure you are ready for any curveball.
