About Everly
I’m a guitar tutor with a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music, specializing in guitar. Over the past 12 years, I’ve gained practical experience playing rock, classical, folk, and blues styles. This mix of academic training and real-world playing allows me to teach in a way that’s both clear and inspiring. I love helping students of all ages, from young beginners to adults, build confidence and improve their technical skills. My lessons focus on making music enjoyable while developing strong fundamentals. Whether you want to learn your favorite songs or master music theory, I tailor my teaching to your goals. I believe that everyone can grow as a musician with the right guidance and practice. My approach combines patience with structured learning to help you progress steadily. I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge and watching students discover their own musical voice. My teaching approach focuses on helping students grow at their own pace while building strong guitar skills. I start with the basics like classical fingerpicking and staff reading to create a solid foundation. Then, I introduce advanced techniques such as hybrid picking and tonal control to add depth to their playing. I believe practice should be fun, so I include songs and exercises that match each student’s interests and skill level.
I guide students to develop both technical skills and musical expression. For those interested in recording or performing, I provide tips on how to sound professional and confident. I encourage creativity and help students find their unique style. My lessons mix theory and practical playing, making it easier to understand complex ideas.
Whether a beginner or more experienced player, I support every student to reach their full potential. My goal is to help them enjoy guitar while excelling in areas like technique, tone, and reading music. I am patient, encouraging, and focus on clear, step-by-step learning. This method helps students stay motivated and see real progress.
