About Maria
I am a friendly, patient and reliable Year 11 student with a strong interest in mathematics. I have completed Kumon up to Level K and am confident helping younger students develop their understanding of math, from basic concepts through to beginner algebra.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to explain concepts clearly and adapt my teaching to their individual needs. My goal is to create a comfortable and supportive environment where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes while learning.
I am particularly suited to tutoring students in Years 5–8 who would like extra support with their math, homework, revision or foundational skills. I take my responsibilities seriously and aim to make every lesson productive, encouraging and enjoyable.

I am a Year 11 student who enjoys math and has completed Kumon up to Level K. I offer friendly and patient tutoring for younger students, particularly Years 4–8, covering basic math through to beginner algebra.
My approach is to first understand what the student finds difficult and then explain the topic step by step using simple examples. I encourage students to work through problems themselves while I provide guidance when needed. I also focus on building confidence and making sure the student understands the method rather than simply memorizing answers.
Lessons are typically 45–60 minutes long, depending on the student's age and needs. I can help with homework, revision, practice questions and strengthening core math skills such as fractions, decimals, percentages, equations and basic algebra.
As I am currently in Year 11, I understand what it is like to learn math as a student and aim to create a relaxed and encouraging learning environment.
