About ANDY
I've been performing in local symphonies around the Dallas area, and I'm also an orchestra teacher at a middle school. Many of my students have gone on to become professional musicians around the country and parts of the world. I also have students who have gone on to other careers not related to music, but have heard from them that the discipline they received while playing their instrument gave them the work ethic to pursue other opportunities. While I enjoy hearing students go into the music field, that is not my priority-my priority is that students enjoy their instrument, and hopefully the strategies they learn with me can be applied to anything!

I'm a big believer in keeping things simple. While I have a lot of real-world orchestral playing and background to my methods, I still believe keeping it simple and fun is the way to enjoy our instruments that have been around for more than 300 years.
