About Ridley
Hello there!
I am Ridley, a twenty-four year old from South Devon. Writing has followed me throughout all my life as a means for expression and to achieve the beautiful stories I read as a child. It is a great wish of mine to open this world to everyone and remove the barriers to the world of creativity.
I desire to teach not entirely for money alone, but also for the love and fulfilment I receive when creating independently or with others, which I believe is the core of the author.

Though I do not yet have professional experience as a tutor, I aim to meet people on their level as earnest lovers of writing, as all authors begin. It is my truest belief that passion for the work of creation is the most significant part of writing and that it should be accessible for everyone regardless of age or location; hence my method of teaching online.
I aim to teach via one-on-one communication, through sessions of about an hour, helping people to discover various forms of writing (including short stories, novels, and screenplays) and find what works best, encouraging them to examine the emotions and themes that form their work.
Likewise, I plan to share some of my own writings, and encourage feedback — to reflect my attitude as an unpretentious collaborator and the founding purpose of my desire to teach: not to lecture or stick to strict linguistic rules, but to feel free to communicate and experiment to find creative freedom and happiness in your work.
