About Carlos
I recently moved to New Zealand a few years ago from the United States, but I've always loved mathematics and business. I'm currently planning to study international business and finances at university in Auckland or Wellington. My goals have always been to succeed academically, but I've recently learned that it's important to get good grades not just to show off and get trophies, but rather to show employers your ability to learn. I struggled at school in New Zealand for the first year or so, back in my Year 10. However, I've been able to get on track and have been the top Math student in my classes the past two years, among other subjects.

I've taught a group of talented Year 7 and 8 students for several months, but I'd like to expand my tutoring to a wider range of capable students. I love mathematics, and I have an excellent teacher who has motivated me to get excellence grades. Since starting in his classes, I've gotten almost straight Excellence grades in Level 2 and 3 Statistics and Calculus. My experiences have taught me the importance of having an educator capable of pushing students to improve and ultimately succeed in their learning. In my tutor classes, while we do focus on focusing on our work, I try to keep it lighthearted and enjoyable, as I find this is generally when students work at their best.
