My teaching method is to regularly use practice questions to best prepare for exams whilst also communicating with my student so that they can explain to me what they have learnt, ensuring that their knowledge has been retained. Communication is key. Making sure that me and my student are able to effectively perform quick tasks is essential, particularly for timing in the 11+ exam. Regular practice of time pressured exam questions is the best way to prepare for the 11+.
In regards to Business Studies, a great way to teach is with real life cases. This is ideal as exam questions always ask you to apply your knowledge to the case study. Regular practice and exposure to real life situations will instil a good habit of applying their answer to the case study question.
