About Sofia
Hi! I'm Sofia, a senior about to graduate from Yale University with a B.Sc. in Physics (Intensive). I am double majoring in Mathematics & Philosophy, so I have experience with proof-based math and essay writing. I will be pursuing a PhD at Oxford University in the fall, focusing on theoretical biophysics research. I have experience with AP courses from Calc BC to Physics C, World History, CS, Literature and more. I took both the ACT and SAT (scoring a 35 and 1560 respectively). I have extensive organizational skills, and am excited to work with you on course-specific tutoring, college applications, and standardized testing!

I plan my lessons in advance around a chosen topic, with inspiration either from the student themselves or a relevant textbook. I will select problems and go through them with the student, and allow them to try some on their own. My lessons are appropriate for high school math & physics, as well as undergraduate-level math (up to Calc III) and physics. For college advising sessions, I will help the student develop a plan for their applications and assist with essay feedback and edits.
