About Michael
My name is Michael, I'm a writer and producer from Melbourne. I have written and produced critically acclaimed dark comedy feature film SLANT (budget $1M) starring Sigrid Thornton and Pia Miranda. My second feature film 'Who Hates the Papadopoulos House?' just received Screen Australia development funding. I also teach acting to teenagers in addition to consulting on screen funding applications for other films. I get inspired working with creatives who wish to get in touch with their unique voice and tell stories that only they can tell.

Whether you are starting from a concept point or a draft stage I can help delicately deconstruct what is and isn't working about your story to ensure you can write or re-write your script in a way that ensures audience engagement. Tutoring is usually best kept between 1 and 2 hours per session. In addition to my critically acclaimed debut feature film SLANT (writer & producer) I have studied writing under legends such as Marieke Hardy and David Mamet. I have also worked in front of the camera with Kitty Flanagan, Rebel Wilson and Taika Waititi. I have consulted on many screen funding applications at both a state and federal level. My tutoring is best suited to writers of all ages and experience levels who are looking to push the boundaries of their own creative process.
