About Ruby
My name is Ruby and I am the oldest of four children. I have spent a lot of time at the kitchen table helping with my siblings' homework, and quite simply just enjoy the process of talking things through until someone understands what it is that they want to communicate in an essay or report. I LOVED English in high school and have been working in the content and communications space since I graduated with a degree in Communication Studies majoring in Screen and Media and Public Relations.
I am also a certified yoga teacher!

Private tutoring should be a straightforward, pleasant experience for the student primarily, and interested parties secondarily (parents, teachers, tutor). My priority is to ensure that both myself and the student understand what WE want to achieve together and agree on reasonable methods to reach those goals; not everyone will succeed with the same methodology. I am the oldest of four children and spent most of my teenage years helping my siblings with homework, applying the learnings of my Bachelor's degree and professional experience. My double major at University entailed mostly essay writing and I am proficient at this on a professional level due to the sector I work in. I have tutored middle-school aged children in a general sense by visiting them in their classroom and providing guidance to keep them on track academically. A lesson length can be as short or as long as necessary to be effective, and lessons are targeted to 14-18 year olds.
